【About NJXZU】
Nanjing Xiaozhuang University (NJXZU) is a full-time public university co-established by Jiangsu Province and Nanjing City with distinctive characteristics of teacher education. The university was founded in 1927 by Mr. Tao Xingzhi. It is also known as the birthplace of rural normal education in China.
NJXZU has 15 schools and nearly 20,000 full-time undergraduate students and faculty members. For four consecutive years, it has ranked first in the Alumni Association’s ranking of China’s applied teacher-training colleges and universities.
NJXZU has cultivated more than 200,000 K12 teachers and various types of specialists to society. In recent years, 9 majors, including Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education, have been approved as national first-rate undergraduate majors.
NJXZU has trained nearly 5,000 long-term and short-term international students from more than 80 countries and regions. It also has been honored as an outstanding group in the education of international students in Jiangsu Province many times. The State Council’s Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, and the Jiangsu Province Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, have both entitled NJXZU to operate as a Base for Chinese Language Education. It has earned a good reputation abroad for hosting year-round Chinese Culture Camp and other programs.
【Program Overview】
This summer program is open to young people from Europe and the United States who are interested in pursuing a career in education. Through lectures on Tao Xingzhi's educational thought, In-depth class listening, exchanges and interactions with renowned universities, secondary schools and elementary school, visit on traditional cultural exchange bases in Nanjing, and immersive experience of Nanjing's long history and urban development, it helps European and American youths to deeply understand the contemporary value of Tao Xingzhi's educational thought, enhances their cross-cultural communication ability and cooperation spirit, tightens the humanistic and emotional bond among youths and enhances the understanding and trust of young people.

【Qualification for application】
1. Aged 18 to 45 from European and American countries or regions, non-Chinese nationality;
2. Physically and mentally healthy, with good English communication skills;
3. Interested in Chinese education and interested in pursuing a career in education.

【Program Fees】
NJXZU will be responsible for the participants' accommodation and meal expenses during their stay in Nanjing, while round-trip air tickets, visas, insurance and cultural visits are at the participants' own expense.
