In order to further promote international Chinese language education and actively explore overseas study programs, as approved by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education in 2014, Nanjing Xiaozhuang University launched the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Esa-Unggul University of Indonesia.
Affiliated to Nanjing Xiaozhuang University, the Department of Chinese Language and Literature is open for high school graduates in Indonesia. The admitted students shall be registered at Nanjing Xiaozhuang University, and Nanjing Xiaozhuang University shall be responsible for training scheme and training through the years. Esa-Unggul University of Indonesia shall be responsible for enrollment promotion and teaching venues.
The program duration is four years. Students study at Esa-Unggul University of Indonesia for two years and then go to study at Nanjing Xiaozhuang College for another two years. The subjects and teaching plans are formulated according to the regulations from the Ministry of Education of China. After the two-year study in Indonesia, students must be assessed to see whether they are qualified for the third-year study in China. Only when they pass the assessment they can enter the third-year study. After completing all the credits specified in the training scheme jointly developed by the two parties, the students will receive the Undergraduate Graduation Diploma and the Degree Certificate of Bachelor of Arts awarded by Nanjing Xiaozhuang University.
